AFI Water Supply Company was established in 1999 by a group of
Somali businessmen after feeling poor water qual-ity in the operating
areas.The company is working in Moga-dishu, Kismaayo and Baidoa.
Main centre of AFI Water Supply Company located in Mogadishu that
supplies water for three districts — namely:

Degmada Wardhiigleey
Degmada Howl-wadaag
Degmada Dayniile

KISMAYO Was set up in 2014. Sixteen casing wells (16) were dug in Kismaayo
town.High salinity water was found in the beginning that was similar to
the ocean water which esti-mated 38200ppm (TDS). But due to hard
work carried by AFI company resulted in reducing the amount of salt in
that water until they reach 500ppm/(TDS) which is WHO
standard.Final-ly, the community of Kismaayo gets clean water which is
fit for human and livestock consumption.
